Penati Golf Resort awarded 2012 Golden Albatross for best golf course of the year.
The editors of GOLF, a golf and lifestyle revue magazine, have for the eighth year running awarded their annual Golden Albatross, honouring not just impressive performances by individuals and highly rated golf tournaments and tours, but especially those people who in a variety of ways have contributed to the development of golf in Slovakia.
We are pleased to announce that in its first golf season the Penati Golf Resort has received the 2012 Golden Albatross in the category of Best Golf Course of the Year.
This is the second Golden Albatross to be received by the resort. In 2007, it won Project of the Year as the Gold Golf Resort.
The Golden Albatross for the best golf course was given to the first 18-hole LEGEND COURSE, whose grand opening was held on 2 August 2012.
Exactly a year after opening the LEGEND COURSE – on 2 August 2013, we plan to inaugurate the second 18-hole HERITAGE COURSE, raising the resort’s level, quality, facilities and player comfort yet again. The HERITAGE COURSE, designed by experienced British architect Jonathan Davison, pays tribute to the traditional island golf design and provides golfers as opposed to the first 18-hole LEGEND COURSE, which bears the handwriting of the world-famous Nicklaus Design School of golf architecture, with a new and distinct game experience.
